MoldGone came out to take care of the mold that MIT mold inspectors found in my living room and bath. MoldGone found the mold, cut it out, applied antimicrobial chemicals commonly used, and patched the plaster walls in about 4 hours. I was impressed with the speed but also the end result ready to sand and paint. 10 days afterward I had MIT do the same tests they performed 6 months earlier and there was some elevated mold in the bathroom and MIT recommended the bathroom be wiped down and HEPA filtered 48 hours. MoldGone came right back and did the suggested cleaning to finish the job in less than 2 hours. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and quickly go about their job. I would heartily recommend them.
I called MoldGone on a Monday at 2 pm. By Tuesday at 11 am I was meeting Jay in person. He walked me through different types of mold, addressing mold, the causes. The responsiveness, the thoroughness, and professionalism is incredible. Mold can seem so daunting, and MoldGone goes out of their way to educate the consumer. Their documentation is comprehensive and easily understandable. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire process.
Jon was so great! He came to inspect, eased our fears, and gave us some advice on remedy for basement moisture issues. I really appreciated his honesty, friendlyness and that he didn't take advantage in a situation where others might. Rebecca got right back to me to set up a proposal visit with Mike. Mike was great! He listened to my story and checked everything out. He explained the process and answered all my questions. Later after receiving the proposal, which I thought was reasonable, I called him with a few more questions, which he answered to my satisfaction, and I accepted the proposal. The team arrived on time on the scheduled date. Jason greeted me and introduced the rest of the group. They did a walk through, answered all questions and went straight to work. Once finished, Jason did another walk through to tell me what they found and show me what they did before they cold misted the basement. It was a pure delight working with your company. We had Mike come out to do a visual inspection for mold before we install insulation into our attic. Mike addressed any concerns and gave us his professional opinion so that we can keep moisture out of our attic. Mike was professional, quick and honest. He was not one to see how he can make money off of a client, rather how he can save the client money. We were very impressed by Mike and would highly reccomend.

We ordered the complete inspection and it was great. The inspector showed up on time and was very thorough and knowledgeable. He was also extremely personable, well cultured, and easy to talk to and easy to understand, making the whole experience flawless. He moved like a pro, visibly inspecting the premises inside and outside and took multiple air samples methodologically. A small area of mold, outside of a window ledge, was missed but caught by our regular home inspector, but it was nothing major.
The mold inspection was still top notch. And the inspector was awesome. He took his time, gave helpful advice along the way, and he worked like a pro to email us results in due time. The results were easy to interpret, too. No fancy graphs or charts, just concise numeric data and simple text. It was worth the peace of mind. And it was money well spent on something that affects the health and well-being of the whole family
The representative arrived on time and was friendly, courteous and exhibited a professional demeanor. He inspected a bedroom to which my grandson seemed to be sensitive to (he is asthmatic). He determined that there did not appear to be a mold problem behind the walls. He took an air sample and returned a report via email within a week. The report displayed the type and volume of the various microorganisms found. Removal of carpet and padding, as well as some old speakers that showed some sign of mold, was recommended. I was most pleased with this entire process.

Joe's crew came out to do a full surface cleaning and encapsulation of risky areas. Then, Joe (or his son, Mike) came out for several follow-ups when we asserted that the mold wasn't gone. Without any hesitation or additional cost, they came out on several occasions to do things such as temporarily setting up an air scrubber, identifying items that should be discarded, recommending follow-on remediation options, performing an ozone treatment, and taking air quality tests. With each visit, Joe patiently answered questions. His passion for the subject - and his business - is evident.
Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I got three quotes and MoldGone's was the lowest bid.
Mold Gone was great! We live in a place that had a mold problem 6 years ago before we moved in and we were worried that there had been a re-infestation. One of us had been having serious allergy issues and we were worried that it was mold causing it.
Joe came out to the house, checked the bathroom, and spent almost an hour talking through all of our options. He was patient and answered a lot of questions for us, gave great explanations for why he made specific suggestions, and had really practical advice for how to deal with our issues and what to look for with future problems. In our case, he recommended that we do a thorough cleaning (including recommending a specific cleaning product which was available at a nearby paint store for a reasonable price) and keep an eye on the allergy situation.
And he didn't charge us for the consultation!
We will definitely go back to Mold Gone if we ever have a serious mold problem.
You say the word Mold and your life is upside down. Then you have to find a company you can trust with all the scams you hear about. I found these guys on Angie's list as I think they had like 1,000 positive reviews. Figured I can't go wrong there. Well they exceeded my expectations. They are honest as the day and really go above and beyond. My experience in Maryland has not been the best with other subs and contractors so it was a great finding some trustworthy people to work with on an issue. Jon and Mike are outstanding as are their crews.
Jon is just leaving my driveway. I had to write a review immediately because his company is just that great. Making an appointment was easy. He was on time and even kind enough to wait for a couple of minutes when I didn't hear the door bell. The inspection was quick and professional. He had some tips for us and told us to call if we need work in the future. He did not take advantage of my panic level anxiety about the water in our basement to sell us any work we didn't need. Highly recommend! I hope we don't need remediation in the future, but he will be our first call if we do.

“If you are looking for an excellent mold company, go no further. This is very reputable company. I worked with Mike and he was very professional. He came to do an inspection and gave me a reasonable quote with a nice discount. This is a small company of 18 employees who take pride in their work. Three workers were there exactly when they were supposed to be --7:20 AM on an icy morning! The work proceeded and the only surprise was that I had no insulation.(old house) They put that in and mold-proofed everything. Then they put everything back the way it was. I couldn't even tell that partial walls had been torn out, drywalled, and painted again. They finished when they said they would around 12:30 PM. Mike came at the beginning and end of the job and came back himself the next day to hang the drapes and do the work outside. I felt like I got great service with a personal touch. Mike, the CEO of the company, is obviously very busy but he spent a lot of time with me explaining everything. All in all I couldn't have been more pleased.”

Moldgone did a great job back in Oct 2015. However I am writing this review to commend them for a follow up service they did for me just recently in April 2016. I am in the process of selling my house, and to my consternation I discovered I had lost the original results of their testing which were favorable. In addition it seemed that somehow I had deleted the original email they had sent me with the results as an attachment. ?In a panic I called them and they were able to search their own records and come up with a copy of the favorable mold testing results which they emailed to me. The whole process took only a day or two and as a result I can show prospective buyers that there is no mold problem with the residence. MY heartfelt thanks go to Mike and Jon for coming to the rescue here. I would use Moldgone again in the future.
The tech was very pleasant and explained everything he was looking for as he did it. He helped me understand what to look for and reassured me about some things that I thought were problem areas. He also helped me choose the correct service and didn't push me to purchase more than I needed. Overall, I was very happy.
MoldGone was great and really responsive. In fact, he's still answering questions from me. We still need more work done at some point to put things back together, but removing all the moldy drywall and carpet from a plumbing leak went smoothly, and they didn't have to tear out quite as much as they initially thought so the final price was somewhat less than the estimate. There's one area of our house where we need to figure out how to prevent water coming in from outside before we complete the full remediation and reconstruction but so far things have gone smoothly. If you have a mold problem I would not hesitate to use this company.

Technicians arrived on time and after another quick look around, immediately got to work. The job was finished in a few hours. The replaced drywall looked great, the work area was cleaned and everything that needed to be moved was stacked neatly. Hire with confidence. These guys are a class act. From the initial quote, estimate, and scheduling - I felt prioritized. They seriously do love mold LOL and will educate the homeowner in addition to providing recommendations. They do not upsell themselves and their suggestions on improvements to the moisture management of the home are not self-referrals whatsoever. They were thorough and incredibly detailed and provided practical, honest advice. My home did not need remediation although as a nervous potential homebuyer (they were assessing a home for purchase that I wanted to make sure did not have an ongoing moisture issue), their meticulous and deliberate walk-through taught me a ton about the property. Between the home inspector (Dennis Pelczysunki from Beltway Home Inspection) and Moldgone, I am a 10000% confident new homeowner. Money well spent all day for the education alone.
