American National Standards Institute

As stated in the above video, ANSI plays a big role in IICRC’s accreditation and standards creation process; it helps industries create “credible industry guidance documents” with industry-accepted language and terminology, according IICRC.

“[American National Standards Institute] facilitates the development of American National Standards by accrediting the procedures of standards developing organizations,” according to the ANSI website.

In other words, ANSI promotes and facilities consensus standards for industries to ensure their integrity.
